We are looking for a pleasant experienced Front Desk Coordinator/Receptionist to add to our busy front desk patient care team!
As a Front Desk Coordinator, you will be the first point of contact for our company. Our Front Office Coordinator/Medical Receptionist’s duties include offering administrative support across the organization. You will welcome patients, coordinate front-desk activities, including answering phones, scheduling patients, call triage, data entry into patient charts, check-out, schedule appropriately, collect payments, verify insurance, schedule referred patients and referred out patients. Billing experience/knowledge a plus!

- Ultimately, the duties and responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes patients positively and executes all administrative tasks to the highest quality standards
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome patients as soon as they arrive at the office and check out/schedule follow up appointments, collect copay, refer out if necessary
- Answer, screen, schedule and/or forward incoming phone calls for our busy clinic
- Triage and schedule patients via phone and in-person with the appropriate sub specialist based on prior orders, traige or referral notes. Training provided but good memory and ability to use support resources a must
- Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures)
- Provide basic and accurate medical and scheduling information in-person and via phone/email
- Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries
- Input patient demographic and insurance information into patient EMR accurately
- Verify medical insurance and request global authorizations
- Check-in and check-out patients for 4 doctors
- Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, scanning, photocopying, mailing and faxing
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Medical Receptionist using EMR in fast paced environment
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent organizational skills
- Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. computers, scanners and printers)
- Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
- Customer service attitude
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- High school degree or equivalent
- Background screen necessary

Hours/Days
- 5 days per week needed: Monday-Friday approximate hours 8am-4:30pm
- No nights, weekends or holidays!
