Position Overview
We are seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for our Lafayette location who thrives in a fast-paced environment and delivers exceptional service to our patients. The ideal candidate is a quick learner, an excellent communicator, and has a strong understanding of dental insurance and patient coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check patients in and out with professionalism and warmth
- Verify dental insurance coverage and eligibility prior to appointments
- Answer and manage incoming calls promptly and courteously
- Monitor and respond to office emails efficiently
- Conduct appointment confirmations and schedule patients as needed
- Manage the daily schedule to optimize provider efficiency and patient flow
- Process patient payments (cash, check, and credit card transactions)
- Track and follow up on pre-authorization statuses
- Check in lab cases and ensure readiness for upcoming appointments
- Balance and deposit daily cash and checks according to office protocol
Qualifications
- 1 year of experience in a dental or medical front office preferred
- Strong knowledge of dental insurance verification and billing processes
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a busy environment
- Proficient with dental software (Eaglesoft experience preferred) and Microsoft Office tools
