As we continue to expand and grow in the market, we are seeking a Shopper Marketing Manager to join our team. This leader will support retail expansion of our powerhouse brands, developing and implementing strategic and tactical shopper marketing plans in the digital and retail environments.
Job Summary
Reporting to the AVP of Marketing, the Shopper Marketing Manager will partner closely with the sales, brand marketing, and strategy teams to develop and execute programs to drive revenue and distribution growth across grocery, mass, club and specialty retail channels.
This is a hybrid role and the schedule is a mix of in-office and work-from-home.
Key Responsibilities
Shopper Strategy & Planning
- Develop annual shopper marketing plans aligned with brand, sales, and customer business objectives.
- Translate consumer insights and category data into shopper-centric strategies that drive conversion and loyalty
- Identify growth opportunities and create tailored programs for key retail accounts.
Retail Activation
- Design and execute omni-channel shopper campaigns including in-store signage, POS materials, demos, coupons, retail media, and digital engagement.
- Partner with retailer marketing teams (e.g., Kroger, Walmart, Costco, Ahold Delhaize, Albertsons, regional grocers) to plan and implement joint business initiatives.
- Manage promotional calendars, ensuring alignment with seasonal and new-product priorities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Brand Marketing, Sales, Category Management, and Product teams to ensure cohesive messaging and execution.
- Partner with and manage shopper marketing agency, facilitating yearly planning, briefs and program execution.
- Support Sales with customer-specific marketing materials, pitch decks, and activation plans.
- Collaborate with external agencies for creative development, production, and measurement.
Analytics & Performance Marketing
- Track campaign performance using sales lift, traffic, engagement, and ROI metrics.
- Consolidate insights and post-program recaps to inform future planning and optimization.
- Leverage retailer data platforms and syndicated tools to uncover shopper behavior trends.
Budget Management
- Own the shopper marketing budget, ensuring accurate forecasting, allocation, and optimization across initiatives.
- Oversee vendor management, invoicing, and cost control.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field.
- 5 years of experience in shopper marketing, retail marketing, brand activation, or CPG marketing; experience in produce or perishables is a plus.
- Strong understanding of retail ecosystems and customer-specific marketing (e.g., retail media networks, in-store activations).
- Experience engaging and partnering directly with customers to develop and launch joint shopper solutions.
- Ability to turn shopper and consumer insights into action with strong analytical thinking.
- Excellent project management skills; able to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Passion for building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally.
- Possesses a strong entrepreneurial spirit.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.

If the selected candidate is a current Cox employee, employment may remain under the current Cox entity. Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
