About the Role
Brightergy is seeking experienced, commission-only Business Development Executives to expand our reach into enterprise and mid-market commercial sectors. This role is designed for accomplished professionals with strong networks and a proven ability to originate and close complex, high-value deals.
Ideal candidates bring experience selling technical, capital-intensive, or consultative solutions to decision-makers at the director, VP, or C-suite level. Prior experience in solar is a plus, but not required — success in adjacent industries such as energy services, infrastructure, SaaS, ESG solutions, or capital equipment sales is equally valued.

Key Responsibilities
- Originate new commercial opportunities across industries such as manufacturing, logistics, real estate, education, and public infrastructure
- Build and manage relationships with executive-level decision-makers (Fortune 500, REITs, large private enterprises, etc.)
- Lead the business development cycle from prospecting to signed contract
- Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, development, and finance) to shape technical and economic solutions
- Serve as a trusted advisor to clients around energy cost management and sustainability strategy
- Maintain accurate and timely reporting of pipeline activity and forecasts
Compensation Structure
This is a commission-only role designed for high-performing professionals seeking uncapped earnings potential.
- Target earnings: $250,000 annually (no cap)
- Commission per deal: Typically $30,000–$50,000
- Performance bonuses available for quarterly/annual milestones
- Full support provided: proposal development, financial modeling, engineering, and project delivery
Candidate Profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in B2B sales, business development, or enterprise client management
- Proven history of closing deals exceeding $250,000 in value
- Strong professional network and ability to initiate executive-level conversations
- Comfortable with a consultative sales process involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- High level of financial literacy: ability to convey ROI, IRR, payback, and other value metrics
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurial; capable of operating independently while collaborating with internal teams
- Bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience in energy, sustainability, commercial real estate, or infrastructure services
- Understanding of solar PV systems, power purchase agreements (PPAs), or energy efficiency solutions
