Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) in Piscataway NJ and Bloomsbury NJ, to join our dynamic team in supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) through Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). In this role, you will work directly with children to implement individualized behavior plans, promote skill development, and foster positive behavioral health. Responsibilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), ensuring consistency and fidelity in delivery.
- Collect and record data on client behaviors, progress, and responses accurately to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Assist children with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as grooming, dressing, feeding, and toileting, to promote independence.
- Use evidence-based behavioral strategies rooted in Applied Behavior Analysis to teach new skills and manage challenging behaviors.
- Collaborate with team members, families, and caregivers to ensure comprehensive support and consistent implementation of treatment plans.
- Maintain confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations and managing sensitive medical records with care.
- Support the development of individualized care plans by documenting progress and communicating effectively with supervisors.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in behavioral therapy, special education, or working with children with developmental disabilities is preferred.
- Knowledge of ABA principles, behavior management techniques, and data collection methods is highly desirable.
- Ability to assist children with ADLs and support their behavioral health needs patiently and empathetically.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical documentation, and maintaining accurate medical records is a plus.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with families, team members, and healthcare professionals.
- Patience, adaptability, and a genuine passion for working with individuals on the autism spectrum are essential.
