Position Details: working with a 3 year old female, Mon - Fri 3:30 - 5:30p (10 hours a week)
Responsibilities
- Implement individualized behavior management plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) techniques to promote positive behaviors and skill development.
- Support children with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, dressing, feeding, and toileting, ensuring safety and dignity at all times.
- Collect and record data on behavior patterns, progress notes, and treatment outcomes accurately to inform ongoing care plans.
- Assist with teaching social skills, communication, and adaptive behaviors through engaging activities tailored to each child's needs.
- Collaborate with supervisors, therapists, and families to ensure consistency in behavioral interventions and care strategies.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations by safeguarding medical records, documentation, and sensitive information.
- Participate in team meetings to review progress, update care plans, and discuss behavioral health strategies for each child.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or healthcare settings is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques, including applied behavior analysis (ABA), is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with assisting children with ADLs and implementing behavior management strategies is a plus.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, documentation practices, and confidentiality standards such as HIPAA is beneficial.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism will help you succeed in this role.
