Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Prior Authorization Specialist, located in Lakewood, NJ. The Prior Authorization Specialist will be responsible for managing and processing prior authorization requests for ABA services. Daily tasks include working closely with healthcare providers and insurance companies to ensure timely and accurate submission of authorization documentation. The role may also involve resolving authorization-related issues, verifying insurance benefits, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of health insurance policies, prior authorization processes, and medical terminology
- Experience with documentation, record-keeping, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
- Proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with providers and insurance representatives
- Competence in problem-solving, time management, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in relevant healthcare software and tools is a plus
- Experience in prior authorization or related roles is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting
- High school diploma or equivalent required
