Job Summary
We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager to lead corporate tax compliance, ASC 740 tax provision engagements, and client consulting for large multi-state and multinational companies. This role will manage client engagements, review corporate tax returns, mentor staff, and build strong client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage corporate tax engagements from planning through completion
- Review corporate income tax returns (Form 1120) and ASC 740 tax provisions
- Research federal, state, and international tax issues
- Respond to IRS and state tax notices
- Build and maintain client relationships
- Mentor and supervise tax professionals
- Identify opportunities to expand client services
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Active California CPA or JD with an active law license
- 4 years of corporate tax compliance and consulting experience
- Minimum 1 year of Manager-level experience
- Strong experience with ASC 740 (preparation, review, and audit support)
- Experience reviewing corporate tax returns (Form 1120)
- Recent public accounting experience with a Top 15 or large regional accounting firm
- Experience supporting large multi-state, national, or multinational corporate clients
- Willingness to work onsite at least 3 days per week
- Experience with OneSource Tax Provision
- Knowledge of SALT, international taxation, and transfer pricing
- Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills
