Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth for children.
- Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior guidance strategies.
- Provide attentive infant and toddler care, including feeding, diapering, and nurturing routines.
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and collaborating with specialists to ensure inclusive care.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, daily activities, and any incidents or concerns.
- Ensure health and safety protocols are followed diligently, including first aid procedures when necessary.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share updates on their child's development and well-being.
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or similar settings is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional certifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom behavior effectively and create a nurturing environment.
- Experience caring for infants, toddlers, or preschoolers through nannying or babysitting roles is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with families and team members effectively.
