Duties

• Prepare a variety of meals adhering strictly to recipes, dietary guidelines, and menu plans, including techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and food production.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining cleanliness and food safety sanitizing procedures at all times.
• Assist with menu planning by suggesting innovative dishes and ensuring consistency in food presentation and flavor.
• Handle food safely by practicing proper food handling techniques, including knife skills and high-volume production methods.
• Deliver prepared meals promptly and securely using the van, ensuring all safety protocols are followed during transportation.
• Maintain accurate records of food inventory, storage conditions, and sanitation practices in compliance with food safety management standards.
• Support dietary department needs by assisting with special meal requests, catering events, and serving when required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation within a restaurant or food industry setting, including fine dining or catering environments.
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques such as poaching, braising, grilling, and recipe adherence.
• Previous dietary aide experience or dietary department experience is highly desirable.
• Excellent knife skills and familiarity with operating kitchen equipment safely.
• Food safety certification or knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures is required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience in operating delivery vans or similar vehicles preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in high-volume production environments while maintaining quality standards.
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
