About us
Our program is looking for an energetic NC Pre-K classroom Teacher. The teacher should be able to plan and implement educational activities using the web-based curriculum, foster child development in all domains (social, emotional, cognitive, physical), build strong family partnerships through communication and parent conference, conduct assessments, and maintain a safe classroom. The teacher should ensure compliance with the NC Pre-K standards, often requiring a B-K license or related degree and background checks.
Salary: Salary will be paid according to the North Carolina Salary Scale based on experience in early child learning.
Benefits: Benefits will be available after 90 days of employment.
Education & Training:
Applicant shall have a BA/BS degree and be eligible for a NC Residency B-K License.
Applicants will be expected to keep mandated trainings updated.
Special Requirements:
Criminal Background Check Pre K Programs are licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) and require an additional Criminal Background Check. If you currently have an updated Qualified letter, it must not expire within 90 days of the date of a submitted application.

CPR and First Aid: If you don’t hold a CPR and first aid certification you must be willing to immediately obtain training.
Job Functions:
- Planning and implementing learning experiences as part of the NC Pre-K curriculum that addresses physical health and development, social and emotional development, approaches to learning, language development and communication, and cognitive development.
- Create ongoing assessments of the growth and development of assigned children to form instruction and measure progress toward School Readiness Goals.
- Partnering with families to develop positive, open, relationship-based two-way communication using parent/teacher conferences and other communication tools.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment in the classroom and on the playground.
- Establishing procedures to support successful transitions for enrolled children and families into and out of NC Pre-K classrooms and transitioning into Kindergarten.
- Assist in planning field trips and special events.
