We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients across various settings, including acute care, long-term care, and outpatient services.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans based on clinical findings.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices.
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and changes in patient conditions using electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and facilitate effective communication.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management, treatment options, and lifestyle changes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to infection control standards.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure the confidentiality of patient information.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proficiency in EMR systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Experience in critical care environments such as ICU or emergency medicine.
- Familiarity with medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and medical documentation practices.
- Experience with procedures such as IV infusion, suturing, catheterization, phlebotomy, and airway management.
- Knowledge of specialized areas including hospice & palliative medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, behavioral health, trauma medicine, infectious disease care, pain management, and more.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including those with developmental disabilities or chronic conditions such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease.
- Previous experience in various healthcare settings such as hospitals (Level I/II trauma centers), outpatient clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health care is highly desirable.
