What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Receptionist (Weekday afternoon/evening shift) position at Bright Light Medical Imaging?

We are a family-operated facility that strives to create a caring and comfortable atmosphere for our patients and employees!* We are looking to grow our diagnostic imaging multi-clinic practice with the right people. This candidate should be someone that will provide great customer service to our patients and administrative support to our medical team. We are currently hiring for a Medical Receptionist for our Melrose Park Office, Monday -Friday 11am-7:30pm, a Saturday rotation as needed.
In this role, the Radiology Scheduler initiates the scheduling process for our Diagnostic Imaging outpatient services.
The Radiology Scheduler will provide efficient, effective, quality customer service through a variety of duties including, but not limited to: scheduling clinic appointments, obtaining financial clearance, and indicating if the services are financially cleared before the service date. Additionally, they will perform all clerical processing for completion and disposition of assigned accounts while maintaining the confidentiality of all information, as stipulated in the HIPAA Privacy Rules
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensures all orders are scheduled in a timely manner
- Ensures all orders are scheduled correctly; name, exam type, authorization request, referring provider etc
- Ensures all orders are followed up on in a timely manner after initial call
- Confirms exam type and the order match
- Obtain authorization for the services rendered, secure all required clinical documentation needed to obtain the authorization
- Sufficiently understand insurance protocols for referrals, co-payments, deductibles, allowances, etc
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Polish speaking or Spanish speaking is a plus!
