Position Overview
The Vice President of Strategic Projects is responsible for leading the execution of high-priority, cross-functional strategic initiatives across the organization.
This role ensures that key business objectives are translated into actionable programs and successfully delivered, acting as the bridge between corporate strategy and operational execution.
Role Focus: Strategic execution, enterprise project leadership, and cross-functional delivery.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Initiative Leadership
Lead and oversee the execution of enterprise-wide strategic projects.
Drive initiatives aligned with corporate priorities such as product launches, market expansion, and transformation programs.
Ensure alignment between strategy and execution across business units.
2. Program & Portfolio Management
Manage a portfolio of high-impact projects with complex interdependencies.
Establish timelines, milestones, and success metrics.
Monitor progress and ensure delivery within scope, time, and budget.
3. Cross-Functional Coordination
Collaborate with product, engineering, finance, legal, and operations teams.
Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks and drive alignment.
Act as a central point of coordination for major initiatives.
4. PMO Leadership & Governance
Establish and optimize project governance frameworks and methodologies.
Standardize reporting, tracking, and performance management processes.
Ensure transparency and accountability across all strategic initiatives.
5. Risk Management & Issue Resolution
Identify project risks, dependencies, and execution challenges.
Develop mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
Escalate critical issues to executive leadership when necessary.
6. Executive Communication
Provide regular updates to C-level executives and the board.
Prepare executive dashboards, reports, and presentations.
Support leadership in strategic decision-making.
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Technology, or related field.
15 years of experience in project management, strategy execution, or operations.
Proven track record managing large-scale, cross-functional initiatives.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree.
PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certifications.
Experience in fintech, financial services, or high-growth startups.
Experience leading product launches or digital transformation programs.
