Responsibilities
- Assist lead teachers in implementing age-appropriate activities that promote infant development and curiosity
- Provide attentive child supervision, ensuring safety and comfort at all times
- Support infants with daily routines such as feeding, diapering, nap time, and playtime
- Engage children through interactive play, sensory activities, and early childhood learning exercises
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, needs, and daily experiences
- Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in first aid and CPR (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
- Familiarity with special education needs and experience working with children with disabilities is a plus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to implement behavior management strategies
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to adhere to mandated reporting laws and maintain confidentiality of child information
