Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise groups of school-aged children during various activities, ensuring safety and engagement at all times
• Plan and implement age-appropriate educational, recreational, and creative activities that promote childhood development and social skills
• Manage classroom behavior using effective behavior management techniques to maintain a positive environment
• Provide first aid when necessary and respond promptly to any health or safety concerns
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and team members to support each child's individual needs and progress
• Assist with homework help, tutoring sessions, or special education accommodations as needed
• Foster a supportive atmosphere rooted in respect, kindness, and Christian counseling principles when applicable

Skills

• Strong classroom management skills to maintain order while encouraging participation
• Knowledge of early childhood education, childhood development, and behavior management strategies
• Experience working with children in settings such as daycare, camp, tutoring, or babysitting
• First aid certification or willingness to obtain it promptly
• Ability to adapt activities for children with special education needs or behavioral challenges
• Excellent communication skills for working effectively with children, parents, and team members
• Passion for working with students and supporting their social-emotional growth through engaging activities like sports coaching or theater
