Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising and engaging children during activities, playtime, meals, and rest periods across different classrooms
- Support classroom teachers with lesson planning, setup, and cleanup to ensure a seamless learning environment
- Provide attentive care to children, including infant care, toddler care, and preschool-aged students, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being
- Help maintain cleanliness and organization of classroom materials and equipment
- Support special education needs by adapting activities and providing additional assistance as required
- Respond promptly to children’s needs, including first aid or emergency situations, following established safety procedures
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and age-appropriate activities
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to handle diverse behaviors effectively
- Ability to perform first aid and respond confidently in emergency situations
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with children’s families
- Compassionate caregiving attitude with patience and adaptability
- Prior experience with babysitting, nannying, or working with individuals with disabilities is a plus
