Experience: The School of Accountancy at Brigham Young University (BYU) in Provo, Utah, invites applications for a professorial faculty position to begin Fall Semester 2026. Qualifications include a doctoral degree in Accounting, experience publishing in, or demonstrated strong potential to publish in, top-tier accounting academic journals, and a clear commitment to teaching excellence. Applicants should include their teaching evaluations for all semesters taught as well as a table summarizing their scores by semester and class. Our teaching needs are concentrated in financial accounting, tax, and technology, but candidates from other areas will also be considered. Recently graduated PhDs and experienced candidates are encouraged to apply.
Duties/Expectations:
Candidates must be available to begin full-time employment in Fall Semester 2026. The standard teaching expectation is four sections per academic year. Successful applicants will be expected to provide excellent teaching and scholarly research, collaboration with department faculty colleagues, mentorship of students, and participation in various forms of service to the department, university, and their research community. Faculty members are expected to publish in high quality, peer-reviewed journals.
