Job Summary
This position is responsible for consulting with customers regarding catering needs for Campus Departments, local businesses and the general public. This position is responsible to place customer orders with the appropriate production area to ensure customers will receive the scheduled services and products in a timely and professional manner. This position also ensures the success of everyday operations by appropriately training and maintaining organizational system. This position may also supervise catered events as assigned by the Catering manager.

Job Description
Job Summary
This position is responsible for consulting with customers regarding catering needs for Campus Departments, local businesses and the general public. This position also ensures the success of everyday operations by appropriately training and maintaining organizational system. This position may also supervise catered events as assigned by the Catering manager.
Customer Consultations
What you'll do in this role:
- Assists customers in planning their catered events
- Give pricing and descriptions of products ordered to the customer
- Processes orders to production areas
- Consults with Culinary team in developing custom menus
- Makes adjustments to order
- Coordinates with Event Coordinators on the expectations of the customers.
- Coordinates with the customer regarding room set up and final service instructions
- Coordinate with Banquet Event coordinator or Banquet Captain for needed equipment
- Consult with Culinary team in producing custom menus for customers’ need.
- Where necessary supervises student staff at an event
- Consults with custodial services regarding room set-up.
- Submits job orders for maintenance and repairs of equipment and building needs
- Maintains Safety and Sanitation in accordance with BYU Dining Services Standards
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- Two years of catering experience or related food service experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- A willingness to work some evenings and holidays
- A valid US Driver's license
