The bakery specialist at the Culinary Support Center (CSC) Bakery will help produce numerous baked goods for BYU Dining Services. These baked goods are distributed to various Dining locations across campus.

Job Description
Job Title: Full-time Bakery Specialist
Job Summary
The bakery specialist at the Culinary Support Center (CSC) Bakery will help produce numerous baked goods for BYU Dining Services. These baked goods are distributed to various Dining locations across campus.
Essential Functions
What you'll do in this role:
- Learn bakery standard operations procedures
- Production of cakes, breads, cookies and desserts for campus dining operations
- Prepare and organize orders
- Utilize computerized inventory/ordering system to establish production schedules
- Verify product inventories
- Completing training and food safety courses per CSC requirements
- Cleaning and sanitizing bakery equipment and preparation surfaces
- Supervise part-time and student employees
What qualifies you for this role:
- A firm commitment to the mission of BYU
- 1 year of full-time equivalent bakery production experience or a culinary certification/degree from an accredited culinary school
Physical Effort
- Moderate -- Physical effort represented by frequent handling of medium weight objects (approx. 20-50 lbs) and materials, or use of medium weight hand tools. May require climbing and working from ladders or in awkward positions.
- Periodic exposure to unfavorable conditions because of unavoidable need to be in variable temperatures or wet environments.
- Moderate or existing potential hazards.
- Product is kept in freezers. Employee must organize freezer inventory daily for approximately 30 minutes. Coats are provided.
- Lifting items up to 50 lbs multiple times daily.
- 5 years of full-time equivalent bakery production experience or a culinary certification/degree from an accredited culinary school
