Duties
- Assist with legal research using Westlaw, LexisNexis, and/or other legal research tools to support case development and strategy.
- Manage and organize legal documents and case files within document management systems such as MyCase and Clio.
- Draft, proofread, and review legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
- Support litigation processes through document review, case file organization, and preparation for court proceedings.
- Conduct interviews with clients or witnesses to gather relevant information for ongoing cases.
- Maintain accurate data entry and filing systems to ensure easy retrieval of case information.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing calendars, scheduling meetings, answering phones with professional etiquette, and handling confidential information discreetly.
- Occasional (rare) attendance at court hearings to support Attorney.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.
- Familiarity with legal case management software including MyCase and Clio.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents and reports.
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong proofreading and transcription abilities to ensure accuracy in all documentation.
- Effective interviewing skills for client interactions or witness statements.
- Knowledge of document review processes and data entry accuracy.
