Groundskeeper

Grounds maintenance worker needed for an oceanfront 17 story property. Brigadune is looking to fill a SECOND SHIFT POSITION, 3:00 P.M. till 11:00 P.M., Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, every week. Working weekends and holidays is required. This is a year round position. The right applicant will be given the opportunity to work full time, 40 hours a week. Full time employees accrue vacation time and get five paid holidays. Primary responsibility is to maintain grounds including cutting grass, trimming shrubs, cleaning walkways and parking lot, planting seasonal flowers, weeding flower beds and pots, and adjusting and repairing irrigation at one location. Must be able to use and maintain grounds equipment such as mower, string trimmer, hedge trimmer, edger, blower, pruners, rake, shovel, and wheelbarrow. Must know or be able to learn how to repair irrigation system and low voltage lighting system. This job requires working outdoors regularly in varying temperatures as seasons change. Lifting and walking is required daily. Applicant must be able to communicate with guests, homeowners, manager, and fellow employees courteously and effectively and be able to assist them as needed. Must be self motivated and be able to work with minimal supervision. Applicants must be able to effectively handle water leaks, fire alarm, elevator outages, and other emergencies as required. Applicants are required to pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
