Responsibilities

• Operate grounds maintenance and landscaping equipment safely, including power tools, chainsaws, and irrigation systems, to maintain landscaped areas.
• Perform landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, pruning, planting, and gardening to promote healthy growth and aesthetic appeal.
• Use hand tools and power tools for detailed landscaping work, including trimming, aerating, and soil preparation.
• Handle manual lifting of materials and equipment for installation or maintenance projects, ensuring proper technique to prevent injury.
• Maintain equipment through regular inspections and basic repairs to ensure optimal performance; report any major issues promptly.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly for transporting tools, materials, or personnel between job sites while adhering to safety standards.
• Support groundskeeping activities with manual handling tasks such as raking, hauling debris, or installing landscape features.
• Follow all safety procedures related to power tool operation, pesticide application, heavy lifting, and equipment maintenance.

Experience

• Prior experience highly desirable.
• Familiarity with the operation of grounds maintenance machinery such as mowers, chainsaws, trimmers, and irrigation controllers.
• Ability to safely operate a Class B CDL trash truck to the landfield.
• Strong manual handling skills with the physical stamina required for heavy lifting and outdoor labor tasks.
• Knowledge of power tool safety standards and routine equipment maintenance procedures is a plus.
