General ManagerFairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott – Lewisburg, WV
Salary: Competitive salary based on experience, plus bonus opportunity The Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Lewisburg, WV is seeking an experienced and motivated General Manager to lead our hotel team. We are looking for a hands-on leader who is passionate about hospitality, guest service, team development, and operational excellence.The General Manager is responsible for the overall success of the hotel, including guest satisfaction, financial performance, associate development, and compliance with Marriott brand standards. This role requires a visible leader who is willing to work alongside the team and actively engage in the day-to-day operation of the hotel.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and adherence to Marriott brand standards
- Recruit, train, coach, and develop hotel team members
- Manage hotel performance, including revenue, profitability, labor, and expense controls
- Monitor guest satisfaction scores and respond to guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Conduct regular property inspections to maintain cleanliness, safety, and overall quality standards
- Build relationships within the local community and support sales and marketing efforts
- Prepare and review operational and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with company policies, brand requirements, and applicable regulations
- Serve as the primary leader and representative of the hotel
Qualifications
- Previous hotel/ management experience required (this is the big line- either hotel experience or management experience)
- Marriott brand experience strongly preferred
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or a minimum of 7 years of hotel leadership experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing budgets, labor, and financial performance
- Ability to motivate and develop teams while maintaining a positive workplace culture
- Proficiency with hotel property management systems and Microsoft Office
- Valid driver's license required
