What are the responsibilities and job description for the De-Boxer (Night Shift) position at Bridor USA, Inc.?
The De-Boxer plays a critical role in supporting production by ensuring frozen products are supplied to the production line on time, in proper condition, and in full compliance with food safety and GMP standards. This position is essential to maintaining product quality, efficiency, and food safety throughout the baking process.
Key Responsibilities
For all tasks under your responsibility, ensure full compliance with quality standards and food safety requirements. Immediately notify QA of any deviations.
Daily Duties Include:
Pull frozen pallets from the freezer for scheduled production
Transfer frozen product from cardboard totes to plastic carts
Accurately and completely fill out de-boxing traceability forms
Immediately report any product issues to the Pack Lead
Follow Pack Lead instructions for test runs and new production
Present yourself daily to the Pack Lead for assignments and direction
Discard defective or floor-contact product into designated grey buckets
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Participate in housekeeping tasks before leaving the production floor
Follow all safety, health, environmental, and company policies
Qualifications & Requirements
Interpersonal Skills:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Technical Skills:
Understanding of and ability to follow GMP standards
Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, and BRC principles
Commitment to workplace safety and food safety compliance
Knowledge & Other Requirements:
Strong decision-making skills and personal initiative
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Education
Must be able to communicate in English
Experience
Minimum 1 year experience in a food manufacturing plant
Bakery experience preferred
Working Conditions
Fast-paced food manufacturing environment
Work in freezer and production areas
40-hour work week with overtime opportunities
Flexibility to work different shifts as needed
Training Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 8:00AM-5:00PM
- Schedule may vary based on training and operational needs
Regular Production Schedule
- Monday – Wednesday
- Three 12.5-hour shifts per week
Shift differential pay will be applied as follows: employees will receive an additional $1.50 per hour for hours worked between 6:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m., and an additional $2.50 per hour for hours worked between 12:00 a.m. and 5:59 a.m.
