Location: Bridor’s brand-new Salt Lake City production facility

Job Summary

Bridor is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead operations on shift at our new Salt Lake City facility. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing production activities, ensuring efficiency, product quality, and strict adherence to food safety standards. This role involves supervising personnel, managing production planning, resolving operational challenges, and participating in production activities as needed. The ideal candidate has the skills and knowledge to cover all positions within the production area.

Shift Details

  • Initially, the role will work the day shift, Monday–Wednesday, 12-hour shifts.
  • Once the nightshift team is fully operational (startingapproximately June), the position will transition to nightshift, Monday–Wednesday, 12-hour shifts.
  • Exact start date for nightshift will be communicated as the plant schedule is finalized.

Key Responsibilities

Production Oversight:

  • Supervise daily bakery operations to ensure productivity, quality, and food safety compliance.
  • Monitor sanitation procedures and ensure all employees follow required protocols.
  • Complete and verify production and quality documentation, including CCP forms, shop orders, and related records.
  • Conduct shift meetings and maintain clear communication between shifts.
  • Participate in production and plant-wide meetings as required.
  • Submit maintenance requests through internal systems.
  • Support product testing, including coordination of personnel, materials, and reporting results.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining quality control programs.
  • Address customer complaints, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Continuously seek and propose process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.

Operational Management

  • Analyze production and customer requests, propose solutions, and ensure follow-up.
  • Allocate personnel according to operational needs and ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to maximize efficiency.

Human Resource Management

  • Supervise, coach, and support shift employees, including team leaders and operators.
  • Manage work schedules, time approvals, and staffing needs.
  • Monitor attendance and address absences or tardiness.
  • Coordinate agency personnel when necessary.
  • Provide feedback, conduct evaluations, and manage probationary periods.
  • Lead disciplinary actions in coordination with Human Resources when required.
  • Participate in onboarding, training, and integration of new employees.
  • Promote a positive, safe, and motivating work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards; report incidents promptly.

Qualifications

Interpersonal Skills:

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and data entry systems.
  • Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and BRC standards.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, health, safety, and environmental compliance.

General Requirements

  • Must be able to read and write English.
  • Physical ability to lift/move objects up to 40 lbs, perform repetitive tasks, and spend extended time on the bakery floor.
  • Ability to focus on precision tasks, safely operate cutting tools, and work in noisy or temperature-varied environments.
  • Comfortable working in an open production area, including exposure to flour and production-related conditions.

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 5–10 years of experience as a bakery supervisor or in a related production role

Work Conditions

  • Location: Salt Lake City Plant – new state-of-the-art facility
  • Schedule: Initially dayshift M–W, 12-hour shifts; transitioning to nightshift M–W, 12-hour shifts (starting approximately June)
  • Hours: Day or night, depending on shift assignment

Salary : $70,000 - $85,000
