Position: Recovery Nurse (Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN))
**Employment Status: Part-Time (PT)**
Position Summary
This position works with the substance use, mental health, and criminal justice population by providing detoxification, medication management, recovery counseling, mental health services, and linkage to other Bridgeway Center,
Inc. (BCI) services. This position works alongside counselors to provide individual and group counseling services, teaching strategies for living a substance free life and aiding in establishing a relapse prevention plan as part of a
long-term approach to recovery.
The clients served in this program have a variety of criminogenic, social, and psychiatric needs which are addressed through coordination between BCI Forensic Counselors, Case Managers, and other external agencies.
The applicant selected for this position must be comfortable routinely working in a team setting and be able to manage the clients on the unit.
BCI is seeking applicants for our Detox team. Applicants must have good observation skills, enthusiastic personality, ability to work well with behavioral health patients, and a true motivation to help others in the community.
Recovery Nurses provide hands-on care to patients with varying degrees of mental illnesses and/or developmental disabilities. They perform a vital, front-line function as they observe, treat, and interact with patients. They carry out
the Prescribers' orders and coordinate care and services as needed. They report back on how the treatment is working or any unusual symptoms that need professional attention.
BCI Recovery Nurses take part in both the planning and implementing of patient Treatment Plans. Tasks will include interviewing patients, assisting patients with questions about their medications, make referrals to other internal BCI
departments, assist Prescribers with daily tasks, and gather information to assist the Prescriber.
Applicants must be outgoing and enjoy working with the public, professional, and para-professional team. Have the ability to collaborate and communicate with BCI departments and external stakeholders. Must be able to multi-task
and remain professional at all times to ensure that each client has a positive and helpful therapeutic experience.

Clear and Active FL Licensed Practice Nurse (LPN) AND be able to obtain a HIV/AIDS 501 Certification as needed. Specific experience in psychiatric treatment is preferred.
Bilingual/bicultural English And Spanish Preferred (not Required).
