What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Bridgewater Retirement Community?
The primary responsibility of the Groundskeeper is to maintain the appearance, safety, and functionality of outdoor areas and grounds across the Bridgewater Retirement Community (BRC) campus. This includes lawn care/landscaping, snow removal, preventive equipment maintenance, assistance with special event setups, and routine repairs.
Schedule: Full time, year round position
Essential Functions
An individual must be able to successfully perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Perform lawn maintenance, trimming, edging, mulching, and basic landscaping
- Remove snow from sidewalks, roads, and parking areas
- Maintain and perform minor repairs on vehicles, mowers, tractors, and other grounds equipment
- Fuel community vehicles and operate heavy machinery as needed
- Set up tables, chairs, and other equipment for campus events
- Apply insecticides and perform seasonal grounds care duties
- Report hazards, equipment issues, and accidents
- Assist Building Maintenance team as needed
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Other duties as assigned
