Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our assisted living community as a Dietary Aide. Duties
- Assist in menu planning and meal preparation, ensuring variety and nutritional balance for residents
- Prepare, cook, and serve meals following established recipes and dietary guidelines
- Handle food safely, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen
- Set up dining areas, serve food to residents, and assist with meal distribution
- Support catering events or special dietary needs as required
- Maintain inventory of kitchen supplies and assist with ordering as needed
- Ensure all food handling procedures comply with health regulations and safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service by attending to residents’ dietary preferences and needs with kindness and professionalism
Qualifications
- Prior experience in dietary services, food preparation, or culinary roles is preferred
- Knowledge of menu planning, food safety, and proper food handling techniques
- Experience working in fine dining, restaurant, catering, or food industry environments is advantageous
- Strong knife skills, cooking abilities, and familiarity with meal preparation techniques
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and a caring attitude towards residents
- Ability to follow instructions precisely and adhere to health regulations
- Previous experience with food service or kitchen operations is a plus
