Bridges is seeking a motivated and independent Program/Event Coordinator to be the driving force behind our multi-faith and civic events. General Responsibilities:
Program and Event Ownership (Conception to Execution)
- Own the full life-cycle of select Bridges programs and events, acting as the primary point person from initial concept development and budgeting through post-event analysis.
- Proactively identify program needs, research innovative formats, and develop comprehensive execution plans with minimal oversight.
- Manage project timelines, ensuring all deadlines for content creation, speaker confirmations, marketing, and logistics are met.
Logistics Management & Coordination
- Coordinate every aspect of our events, including venue selection and booking, catering contracts, vendor negotiations, and managing relationships with external partners.
- Oversee all logistical requirements, including securing permits (when necessary), managing setup/breakdown, and ensuring all audio-visual and technical needs are met.
- Maintain accurate records of event expenses and work to ensure all events stay within the approved budget.
On-Site Management & Execution
- Attend all events and serve as the lead Site Coordinator and liaison for all internal and external parties.
- Develop and manage detailed Run-of-Show documents, ensuring all speakers, performers, and technical elements are coordinated precisely.
- Oversee volunteer and staff coordination on event days, assigning clear roles and ensuring a smooth, professional experience for attendees.
- Troubleshoot issues proactively and calmly during events, ensuring minimal disruption.
Evaluation & Reporting
- Tracking metrics (e.g., attendance goals, feedback scores, engagement levels) for each program.
- Conduct post-event evaluation, gather feedback, and prepare reports summarizing outcomes, challenges, and recommendations for future events.
Required Qualifications:
- Respect, appreciation, and/or curiosity for ALL faith traditions, ideologies, and political leanings.
- Ability to work in a high-paced environment with minimal direction.
- Experience in event planning or event coordination with a proven track record of creative, successful events
- Be highly organized, detail-oriented, discreet, and exercise tact and diplomacy.
- Creative and innovative; the ability to see alternatives and solutions.
- Display excellent communication skills, with an ability to engage and interact with senior faith and elected leaders.
- Show the ability to multi-task effectively and balance priorities in an ever-changing, fast-moving, time-sensitive environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
This position is remote, part-time, up to 15 hours a week, with the possibility of additional hours within two months of hire. The hourly wage is between $25 – $30/hour. Paid family leave, 20 days of paid holiday leave, two weeks of paid time off (PTO), and Gympass are among the benefits each part-time employee enjoys. While we are currently unable to provide healthcare assistance, we are actively working towards this goal, along with a range of additional benefits.
