We’re looking for a Therapist to join our supportive, purpose-driven team. As a Therapist, you'll play a vital role in helping individuals on their path to recovery from substance abuse and mental health challenges. Shift Availability

First Shift Position – Monday through Friday, including some on-call requirements. Additionally, must be available to work up to six weeks (30 days) in Muncie as an IOP/PHP instructor, which could include evenings and some holidays. Flexibility is a must, but the reward is knowing your work matters.

Summary: A Therapist is instrumental in our client’s treatment and recovery from a substance use disorder. Our therapists provide high-quality, compassionate support through various mediums, which include both individual and group counseling sessions. The therapist will plan, oversee, facilitate, and document their client's treatment progress.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Establishes positive, trusting rapport with patients
  • Conducts group and individual therapy.
  • Develops individualized treatment plans according to client needs, circumstances, and goals.
  • Meets with patients regularly to provide counseling, treatment and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Performs ongoing assessments of patient progress.
  • Involves and advises the support system of client’s when appropriate.
  • Refers patients to outside specialists or agencies when necessary.
  • Maintains thorough records of patient meetings and progress.
  • Follows all safety protocols and maintains client confidentiality.
  • Contributes to practice by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
  • Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Empathy, understanding, and respectful behavior towards clients and their family members, coworkers, outpatient providers, etc.
  • Diagnoses and treats mental health disorders
  • Crisis management (including verbal de-escalation)
  • Ability to set and maintain appropriate boundaries and maintain appropriate confidentiality when interacting with alumni, families, and all other clients and contacts following Clients Rights and HIPAA.
  • Punctual, professional, and dependable and respectful of staff and clients show understanding and empathy
  • Requirements for telehealth, and working in multiple locations may be required
  • Participate in clinical staffing meeting, interdisciplinary meetings, trainings, and supervision
  • Coordinate care with other providers – both within BOH and any outpatient providers
  • On-call responsibilities
  • Other duties as assigned


Job Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a behavioral health-related field (such as social work, psychology, addiction studies, counseling, etc.)
  • Indiana license as a behavioral health provider (LCSW, LCAC, LMHC, LMFT, or LSW, LAC, LAC-A) -preferred
  • Two years' experience in the addiction treatment field while working with clients in a 12-step program preferred
  • Knowledge of Mental Health and addiction recovery
  • Good time management skills with the ability to be flexible with changing situations
  • The desire to learn more to continue growth and development
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment when overseeing a variety of issues
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills with a high level of flexibility and diplomacy
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite
  • CPR/ BLS certification within (60 days of hire)
  • Valid driver’s license required
  • Proof of insurance


Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility - Twist, Bend, Stoop/squat, Move quickly (respond to emergency), Climb stairs, Walk, Stand
  • Hearing -Ability to craft compelling narratives through imagery
  • Visual - See information up to 24 inches away (monitors, computer screens, skin conditions), See objects up to 20 feet away (patient in room), Use depth perception, Use of peripheral vision.
  • Strength - Squeeze with hands (operate fire extinguisher)
  • Other - Reach above shoulders/overhead, Reach below the waist (electrical plugs, etc.), Reach in front (assist patient with arms out), Pick up objects with hands, Write with pen, Use computer (type), Pinch/pick or otherwise work with fingers (use keyboard, etc.), Twist at waist, Twist wrists/hands (turn objects/knobs using hands).
