CAFETERIA UTILITY ASSISTANT
BOE NUTRITION CENTER
SALARY: $16.35 PER HOUR/18.75 HOURS PER WK/42 WEEKS
Part-time position
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Wash and sanitize all dishware, utensils, trays, and kitchen equipment following safety and health protocols.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing station and utility areas.
- Empty garbage and recycling bins regularly; assist with proper waste disposal.
- Support the food service team by transporting clean trays, dishes, and utensils to serving areas.
- Help receive, unpack, and store kitchen supplies and deliveries as needed.
- Refill handwashing and sanitation supplies (soap, paper towels, sanitizing solution).
- Maintain cleanliness of floors by sweeping, spot mopping, and ensuring no slip hazards in utility and dishwashing areas.
- Lift boxes, trays, and crates of dishes or supplies as required.
- Comply with all local and state health regulations and district policies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the kitchen lead or manager.
