JOB OPENING
CAFETERIA ASSISTANT (PART-TIME)
BOE NUTRITION CENTER
SALARY: $16.11 PER HOUR
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervising the children in cafeterias and classrooms during breakfast and lunch period.
- Encouraging students to consume all lunch foods, including milk.
- Cleaning and wiping tables and spills after each breakfast and lunch period.
- Assisting children to open food packages, milk, and juice containers.
- Redistributing refused food to sharing table.
- Providing students with extra straws, napkins, condiments, etc.
- Picking up all garbage, but also encouraging students to pick up paper and food items, on and around their table or desk, and placing them into a refuse container.
- Assisting the cafeteria workers in handing out food and milk, help to keep students in order as they pass through line.
- FFVP-Assist in packaging and distribution the bags or baskets of fresh fruit and vegetable.
- Spot sweep and spot mop any spill of beverage or food.
- Recycling unwanted milk into containers to discard
- Lifting of bokes or milk crates.
