Bridgeport Country Club is seeking an experienced and driven General Manager with a strong
background in food and beverage operations to oversee and elevate the club’s daily operations. This
leadership role is responsible for ensuring exceptional member experiences, efficient business
performance, and high-quality dining and event services.
Key Responsibilities
Food & Beverage Operations
• Oversee all dining outlets, bar services, and special events
• Ensure exceptional food quality, presentation, and service standards
• Collaborate with Executive Chef on menu development, pricing, and seasonal offerings
• Monitor inventory, cost controls, and vendor relationships
• Maintain compliance with health, safety, and alcohol regulations
Club Operations & Management
• Manage day-to-day club operations, ensuring seamless service across all departments
• Supervise and support department heads and staff
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures
• Enhance overall member satisfaction and engagement
Financial Management
• Prepare and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
• Monitor revenue streams including dining, events, and memberships
• Control expenses and improve profitability without compromising quality
• Analyze performance metrics and implement strategic improvements
Event & Member Experience
• Oversee planning and execution of private events, weddings, and club functions
• Ensure high-touch, personalized service for members and guests
• Address member feedback and resolve concerns promptly and professionally
Staff Leadership & Development
• Recruit, train, and mentor staff across food & beverage and operations
• Foster a positive, team-oriented culture
• Ensure proper staffing levels and scheduling efficiency
Qualifications
• 5 years of management experience in hospitality, country club, or upscale restaurant operations
• Strong background in food & beverage management
• Proven leadership and team development skills
• Experience with budgeting, financial reporting, and cost control
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of POS systems and hospitality software preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred
