Salary Range: 85,000 to $95,000 per year, with potential flexibility based on experience

Terrific new Major Gifts Officer role with a highly regarded national nonprofit. The MGO will be primarily remote and can be based in the Houston or Austin area. The MGO will cultivate, solicit, and steward major donors and prospects to grow the major giving portfolio within the region of South Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and parts of the DFW area. There will be a focus on donors with the capacity to give at the $25k level.
Responsibilities:
- Provide moves management to a major gifts portfolio of current and prospective donors, securing gifts of $25k
- Develop and grow the major gifts portfolio for the region by implementing effective cultivation strategies
- Leverage wealth screening software and the Salesforce CRM for fundraising initiatives
- Effectively communicate the mission to funders
- Provide projections and reporting for the donor portfolio
- Travel to meet with donors and prospects, as needed
Qualifications:
- Approximately 3 to 5 years of major gifts fundraising experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred; additional experience in lieu of a degree will be considered
- Experience with individual gifts and multi-year commitments
- Demonstrated track record utilizing moves management strategies to secure at least 5-figure gifts
- Go-getter with strong business acumen and a high level of professionalism
- Ability to story tell and convey the organization's mission in a way that connects with donors
- History of cultivating strong relationships with donors
- Collaborative and able to work well as part of a dispersed team
