Our Program Manager Job Description:

A BSS Program Manager is responsible for maintaining the ongoing effectiveness of the Programs. The Program Manager oversees all aspects of their assigned Residential Programs for adults with disabilities, which includes coordination of care and supports, as well as Program operations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

· Maintains relationships and coordinates services with interested parties inside and outside the Agency including providers, family, guardians, case managers, government regulators, payors, and the community.

· Assures that the quality of designated programs are consistent with Agency guidelines, including customer satisfaction, record keeping, incident reporting, medication administration, access and follow-up to medical care, participation in the development and implementation of service plans for the service recipient, and ensuring service coordination, licensing, and accreditation.

· Manages day-to-day operations of designated programs including personnel management.

· Responds to matters which require immediate attention including filling in for support staff as required, responding to all incidents, and malfunctions at the facility; these duties may require being on-call as assigned by the program director.

· Ensures all program personnel perform duties in accordance with applicable federal and state safety regulations.

· Ensure personnel perform duties in accordance with Bridge Support Services’ philosophy, policies, and procedures.

· Coordinates, monitors, and reports on the maintenance of the facility(s); to ensure it’s safety and healthy in accordance with licensing and accreditation standards.

· Responds to urgent matters related to service recipients, employees, and the facility.

· In collaboration with Program Director, plans each program’s direction, sets program goals, and develops program policies that reflect the mission of the program and the organization.

· Ensures that the programs meet all organization and licensing standards, regulations, and policies, including the posting and notification of Client Rights and grievance procedures information, the consistent adherence to client confidentiality standards and maintenance of safe program practices, including the consistent practice of universal precautions.

· Ensures that the Human Rights of clients in the program(s) are respected and protected.

· Ensures that all relevant documentation is completed in an accurate, and timely manner in compliance with BSS policy, and regulatory requirements. This includes ensuring that daily notes in THERAP and MARs are completed by the direct care staff.

· Serve as Supervisor on Duty when assigned by assuming responsibility for phone coverage, crisis intervention, ensuring adequate staffing, and good communication with appropriate on call administrator.

· Ensure proper staffing levels by coordinating with Human Resources regarding hiring, recruitment, and retention of employees.

· Collaboration with the training team to meet requirements of licensing needs.

· Development of staff through on-the-job coaching and supervisory debriefings.

· Maintain clear understanding and oversee compliance with licensing regulations standards.

Education

  • BA/BS in Human or Social Services (preferred, not required).

Requirements

  • Three years’ experience in a human services setting
  • Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Reliable transportation and proof of auto insurance
  • Criminal background check that meets Agency standards
  • Direct Support Professional Certification (or CDS within 90 days of hire)

Active CRMA, or CRMA 40hr class (Within 90 days of hire)

Reports to: Area Director (BSS employs a North and South Area Director, and we have Programs from the L/A-Lisbon region down through Southern Maine). PM's will be given regional considerations, and our main office is located in Saco, ME.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
