The Commercial Insurance Advisor - Salary position generates new business production through the sale of Commercial Property/Casualty Insurance sales. Compensation consists of a base salary plus earned commission.
How You Will Contribute
- Identify prospects for business from existing and prospective clients.
- Maintain a consistently strong and active new business pipeline.
- Develop new relationships with individuals responsible for insurance and risk management decisions at prospective clients.
- Aggressively identify and pursue cross-selling opportunities amongst existing clients.
- Obtain referral leads from existing clients.
- Participate in and taking leadership roles in targeted civic and professional associations.
- Design individual prospect sales strategies and developing unique prospect programs.
- Undertake initiative to create & break relationships, with a heavy focus on results; ability to take action & manage multiple tasks/projects at one time.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 2-20 Property & Casualty License obtained within 90 days of hire
- 4-year college degree or equivalent relevant experience
- Results-oriented Team Player
- Excel in collaborative team environment
- Ability to create and break relationships, take action, and handle multiple projects/tasks at once
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Routine or periodic travel is required; which may require the teammate to drive their own vehicle or a rental vehicle. Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position
- Working knowledge of AMS360 and ImageRight (preferred)
