How You Will Contribute
- Reviews insurance renewal applications to evaluate, classify, and rate individuals and groups for insurance and accepts or rejects applications by performing the following duties.
- Review renewal applications to confirm that information is appropriate to determine underwriting actions.
- Determine renewal underwriting actions.
- Accept or decline risks based on own analysis of options.
- Review all risks for new and renewal business for any securities law practice exposure.
- Implement methods for promotion of policies or improvements to processes.
- May train or supervise junior level assistants.
- Verify complete and proper coding.
- Compliance with Quality Control guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Collaborates with Broker with regard to unusual coverages.
- Maintains knowledge of all markets available to maximize opportunities to negotiate placements
- 220 License (preferred)
- Exceptional telephone demeanor
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- 3 - 5 years industry experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.A) from four-year college or university (preferred)
- Experience with excess and surplus lines underwriting agency or company a plus. (preferred)
