Job Overview

Bridge City Design Build is seeking highly skilled and motivated Lead Residential Carpenters to lead high-quality residential remodeling projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on leadership role for craftsmen who take pride in exceptional workmanship, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is passionate about delivering an outstanding client experience.

As a Lead Residential Carpenter, you will oversee all phases of residential remodeling while serving as the on-site leader for your crew. You'll set the standard for quality, safety, efficiency, and professionalism by mentoring carpenters and skilled laborers, coordinating daily activities, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and meet Bridge City Design Build's high standards.

Success in this role requires strong communication, sound decision-making, and the ability to proactively solve problems while maintaining positive relationships with clients, project managers, and subcontrators.

Roles:

• Lead and actively participate in all phases of residential remodeling and finish carpentry.
• Supervise, mentor, and train carpenters and skilled laborers to promote craftsmanship, productivity, and professional growth.
• Establish clear daily expectations, assign work, and provide hands-on guidance to ensure quality and efficiency.
• Assist Project Superintendent with the completion of QA and QC forms.
• Coordinate and communicate directly with project managers to provide project updates, address challenges, and keep projects moving forward.
• Work closely with subcontractors to coordinate schedules, manage workflow, maintain quality standards, and ensure seamless execution across all trades.
• Monitor project progress, identify potential issues early, and implement effective solutions to minimize delays.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company standards and building codes.
• Foster a clean, organized, and professional job site while delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the project.
• Perform other trades: preferred (light electrical, plumbing, tile, etc.).
• Communicate and coordinate with cabinet shop crew regarding materials, orders, jobs, etc.
• Maintain positive client relationships and communicate effectively between all parties involved in project including but not limited to: Bridge City installation team, outside contractors, project managers, Shop Foreman, and representatives from other trades.
• Perform other related tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Supervisor experience required.
• Construction: 4 years (Required).
• Must have at least 3-5 years carpentry experience and knowledge of remodeling.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multiple construction phases simultaneously.
• Excellent time management skills.
• Effective communication skills.
• Must have experience in computer programs and digital media for logging time, intercompany communication, receipt tracking, and job documentation.
• Possess a good work ethic, positive attitude, and demonstrate leadership qualities.
• Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (OSHA).
• Knowledge of woods and their uses and adaptability.
• Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment used in carpentry.
• Adhere to all health and safety standards and report any issues immediately.
• Background check required.

Salary:

· $25.00 to $30.00 /hour
