We are seeking an highly skilled Data/Visualization Engineer to join our on-site team at WHQ. This role requires a strong mix of data engineering, analytics, and visualization expertise, with the ability to trace data pipelines back to the source of truth. The ideal candidate is technically proficient, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently or collaboratively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain data-driven visualizations and dashboards that communicate insights effectively.
- Trace and validate data pipelines to ensure accuracy, consistency, and source-of-truth alignment.
- Collaborate with data engineers, software developers, finance partners, and leadership stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries and Python scripts for data transformation, validation, and analysis.
- Integrate and manage data sources across Azure, AWS, and other enterprise systems.
- Design and maintain Power BI reports and models for both technical and non-technical users.
- Document data processes and workflows; train or guide team members where needed.
Required Qualifications
- 5–6 years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, or visualization development.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and data validation best practices.
- Proficiency in:
- Python (writing, debugging, and reading data-related code)
- SQL (data extraction, joins, and optimization)
- Power BI (dashboarding and reporting)
- Azure and AWS (data storage, compute, and integration tools)
- Proven ability to trace data lineage and identify discrepancies or data quality issues.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Financial data or cost analysis background.
- Automation experience, especially in reporting or data workflows.
- Prior experience working in large enterprise or cross-functional engineering environments.
