What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Municipal Engineer position at BRICK, TOWNSHIP OF?
The Township of Brick is seeking applicants able to perform and supervise work involved in technical engineering including planning, investigations, inspections, and surveys. This position reports directly to the Township Engineer.
Position responsibilities include but are not limited to: plan review, permit inspections, preparing estimates, compliance checks, communication with contractors, developers, and property owners, planning and supervising drainage projects, complaint investigation, supervising staff, preparing reports.
Position Requirements:
Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience
Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering
Professional Engineers license
Familiarity with the NJ DOT construction standards and National Flood Insurance Program standards, a plus
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Detail oriented
Strong interpersonal skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $68,411-$131,782 commensurate with experience. The position includes a full benefits package including health benefits (medical, prescription, dental and vision), New Jersey pension plan, and paid time off.
