Brice Construction and Design, Inc. (Brice) is a proud subsidiary of the Calista Corporation, the second largest Alaska Native Corporation (ANC) with 37,300 shareholders and over $950 million in annual revenues. Brice is an SBA 8(a) participant that offers significant advantages to the government contracting agencies and allows us to leverage our sister and parent companies for additional resources to deliver large or small projects. Brice is one of 19 sister subsidiaries under Calista Brice LLC of the Calista Corporation. This holding line offers construction services in every phase of the construction cycle.
Our experience and ability to self-perform streamlines projects and reduces cost by minimizing inefficiencies in the construction cycle. We strive to hire tradesmen directly from the communities where we work to leverage local knowledge and local relationships to successfully complete projects on schedule and within budget.
Brice performs large heavy civil construction operations to include large scale civil projects, drainage, repair of earthen dams and levees, roadways, bridges, airfields, parks, ranges, and stormwater management, water supply, wastewater collection, and on-site wastewater treatment systems for federal, states, and local entities.
What can you expect?
As the Laborer, you are responsible for performing various tasks to support daily operations at a construction site. You will perform tasks involving physical labor such as cleaning and preparing the job site, loading, and delivering materials, setup and take-down of ladders, scaffolding, and other temporary shoring. You will assist craft workers using a variety of hand tools and power tools as required by the Foreman or Field Civil
Superintendent.
How will you do it?

How will you do it?
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in construction projects.
- Perform trade for long hours, day after day, often in adverse conditions, to complete the project at hand.
- Follow project plans and instructions by the Foreman and Superintendent.
- Assist project Foreman and Superintendent on daily tasks.
- Assisting skilled tradespeople in their duties.
- Perform material handling and storage.
- Load, unload, haul, and hoist materials.
- Operate air, electric, and pneumatic hand tools.
- Maintain a clean job site: picking up all tools and equipment, removal of all construction debris and trash, sweeping area clean, and securing job site each day to eliminate potential hazards.
- Clean and maintain equipment used on the job.
- Comply with all safety requirements and participate in safety meetings.
- Review daily task assignments and clarify any material needs with the supervisor.
- Work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as directed.

- All around knowledge of materials, terms, and practices in the construction field.
- Knowledge of OSHA Construction Industry Safety Regulations.
- Ability to work proficiently with hand and power tools.
- Ability to safely ut lize tools and equipment in the performance of duties.
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex issues, both logical and interpersonal.
- Ability to participate in group meetings, take direction from supervisor(s) and other crew members, high degree of attention to detail, follow work rules, and adhere to project schedule.
- Ability to actively listen and follow instructions.
- Ability to work productively under pressure and to pay attention to the details of a project or task.
