What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterinary Assistant/Technician position at Brewton Animal Hospital?
Experienced veterinary tech/assistant hours are Monday- Friday 7:30-5 and a weekly scheduled half day 7:30-12. Weekend on call (min 1 hour shift-base pay) REQUIRED on 4-5 week rotating schedule. Avimark software knowledge is a plus, but not required. Duties include but are not limited to: cleaning, disinfection and preparing medical equipment in between surgeries/appointments; drawing/administering vaccinations; proper handling of pets for appointments/doctor examinations; surgery prep; catheter placement; updating patient records; and providing owners with educational resources/information on how to best care for their animals. We offer on site training, and weekly online training as well.
An outgoing personality with a loving compassion for animals is a must!

Pay: $9.00 - $18.00 per hour
