Duties

• Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
• Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery
• Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
• Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and assisting with food handling and preparation when needed
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure food quality and presentation meet high standards
• Use reservation management tools like OpenTable to optimize seating arrangements and reduce wait times
• Demonstrate excellent guest relations skills, addressing concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, preferably with fine dining or nightclub settings
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy hours
• Ability to upsell menu items confidently while maintaining a friendly demeanor
• Previous host/hostess or serving experience is highly desirable
• Basic math skills for cashiering and order accuracy; comfortable with cash handling procedures
• Knowledge of food industry terminology and customer service best practices
• Culinary or kitchen experience is a plus but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
