HVAC installer/service techs

Overview

Join our dynamic team as an HVAC Installer/Service Technician and become a vital part of delivering comfort, efficiency, and reliable climate control solutions to our valued customers. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, heating equipment, refrigeration systems, and building automation controls. Your expertise will ensure optimal system performance while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities

• Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, electrical connections, and controls in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on existing HVAC equipment to ensure peak performance.
• Diagnose issues using schematics, electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters, and mechanical inspections to identify system faults.
• Repair or replace defective components such as compressors, fans, thermostats, valves, and electrical wiring.
• Conduct refrigeration work involving ammonia refrigeration systems and refrigerant handling in compliance with EPA regulations.
• Utilize hand tools and mechanical knowledge to disassemble and reassemble HVAC units accurately and efficiently.
• Communicate clearly with customers regarding system issues, repair procedures, and maintenance recommendations while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an HVAC service technician or installer with construction experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC/R systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, boilers, and building automation systems.
• Ability to read schematics and technical manuals; experience with electrical diagnostics and plumbing is highly desirable.
• Mechanical aptitude with hands-on experience using hand tools and diagnostic equipment such as ohmmeters.
• Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications related to HVAC design or ammonia refrigeration are a plus.
• Familiarity with electrical systems, mechanical systems repair, equipment troubleshooting, and HVAC system installation processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently.
• Customer-focused attitude with strong communication skills; ability to work independently in the field as a van driver or field service technician.
• Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces; valid driver’s license required for van driving roles.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
