Summary:
The Logistics Specialist/Analyst is responsible for handling the logistics procedures for organization, dealing with goods preparation, shipping receipts, and shipment deliveries. Logistics Specialists/Analysts are also responsible for processing orders, preparing goods, receiving shipments, and shipping deliveries, ensuring that all transactions are within the allotted schedule. This position oversees shipments, ensuring alignment with the expected quality and quantity, maintains an accurate record of inventory, produces reports, and adheres to the policies and standards, always working to enhance practices.

Responsibilities:
- Logistics Specialist I
- Receiving focus:
- Receive incoming shipments of raw materials and supplies.
- Safely load and unload trucks and trailers, following established procedures and safety protocols.
- Sort, scan, and stock receivables.
- Inspect received items for damage, discrepancies, or defects.
- Sampling of inbound raw chemicals.
- Shipping focus:
- Use applicable computer programs to ensure all items are shipped in a timely, and accurate manner.
- Review, verify, and follow customer shipping instructions and prepare outgoing shipments by packaging products securely and applying appropriate labeling.
- Monitor incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipment per customer requirements.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments, as required, to complete assigned responsibilities to meet or exceed customer expectations.
- Collaborate and work cross-functionally with material handling, import/export, purchasing, procurement, and others to build and maintain meaningful relationships.
- Accurately record inventory levels and update databases and inventory systems.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of shipping and receiving areas.
- Obtain DOT/IATA Certification within 90 days of employment.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
