Summary:
Cleanroom/Custodian Technicians and Specialists are responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and compliance of controlled environments such as Class 100 and 1000 cleanrooms, labs, and chemical manufacturing areas. They perform routine and advanced cleaning tasks, manage cleanroom, garment, and supply inventories, and ensure adherence to contamination control standards. Higher-level roles involve data tracking, training, vendor coordination, and process improvement across multiple departments and locations. These positions play a critical role in supporting semiconductor manufacturing operations by upholding strict environmental and safety standards.

Responsibilities:
- Cleanroom Custodian Technician I
- Clean Class 100 and Class 1000 cleanrooms and gowning areas daily using approved protocols.
- Mop floors, wipe down horizontal surfaces, and operate vacuum equipment.
- Empty trash, recyclables, and hazardous/combustible waste safely and according to SOPs.
- Restock cleanroom supplies, including garments, gloves, and consumables.
- Assist with cleaning of the R&D cleanroom as needed.
- Support bottling operations and packaging when requested.
- Remove used cleanroom garments and lab coats for laundering; assist in basic garment inventory handling.
- Check and restock first aid kits and fire extinguishers in assigned areas.
- Maintain restrooms, common areas and facility cleanliness.
- Follow established cleanroom procedures for contamination control and particle reduction.
- Maintain and clean custodial tools and equipment.
- Perform daily cleaning and sanitization of cleanroom and R&D lab areas.
- Execute safe cleaning of equipment and support surfaces in chemical and equipment manufacturing zones.
- Assist with cleanroom garment tracking, distribution, and returns across all production and lab areas.
- Monitor and maintain cleanroom logs, particle counts, and safety station checklists (first aid/fire).
- Restock and inspect fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and medicine cabinets regularly.
- Provide occasional support to bottling operations as directed.
- Identify and report equipment or procedural issues to supervisors.
- Offer basic training and guidance to entry-level custodians on gowning and cleanroom protocols.
- Team Lead Duties/Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily workflow of the team.
- Participate in the hiring process, train, and mentor new team members.
- Review and approve training requests, timecards, and expense reports.
- Provide constructive and timely performance conversations.
- Manage employee success by setting clear expectations, providing continuous feedback, supporting professional development, and creating an environment of psychological safety and intentional inclusion.
- Participate in continuous coaching development.
- Communicate and coordinate alignment with other teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience in cleanroom custodial roles or
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience.
