Position Summary
The Tax Manager is responsible for overseeing tax compliance, reporting, and strategy across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves managing tax workflows, ensuring accurate filings, and supporting integration projects within a global engineering and manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns, including consolidated and partnership filings.
- Manage quarterly and annual tax provision processes under US GAAP and IFRS.
- Oversee tax compliance for sales, use, VAT, and GST returns.
- Lead process improvements and implement internal controls for tax operations.
- Support audits and resolve tax notices across jurisdictions.
- Integrate tax processes into ERP systems and optimize workflows.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external advisors on tax-related projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or Master’s in Tax preferred.
- 8 years of corporate tax experience, including provision and compliance.
- Strong knowledge of U.S. tax principles and multi-state filings.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and tax automation tools.
Skills
- Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
