We are seeking an experienced Paralegal / Case Manager to join our New York City office. This is a full-time, in-office position. The ideal candidate will be highly proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, possess strong litigation experience, and be exceptionally skilled in legal drafting, formatting, and Bluebook citation. This role supports matters in state, federal, and appellate courts in various jurisdictions and manages cases through all phases of the litigation lifecycle.
The base salary for this position is $110,000–$140,000 annually, commensurate with experience, skills, and other relevant factors.
Responsibilities
- Manage case setup, discovery workflows, and end-to-end document collection, review, and production
- File documents in state, federal, and appellate courts, ensuring strict compliance with all court rules and e-filing requirements
- Manage calendars and dockets, track deadlines, and ensure timely filings
- Draft correspondence, pleadings, discovery requests, and responses
- Prepare, format, proofread, and finalize legal documents with exceptional precision, including strict adherence to court-specific formatting requirements and Bluebook citation rules
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors as needed
- Support depositions, mediations, arbitrations, trials, and settlements, including coordinating logistics for proceedings
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of litigation experience, including trial preparation experience
- Complex commercial litigation experience preferred but not required
- Exceptional legal drafting and formatting skills; attention to detail is critical
- Strong working knowledge of Bluebook citation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Westlaw, PACER, and related legal systems
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality
- Strong work ethic and flexibility to work overtime as needed
