Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Medical Biller for our outpatient Rheumatology practice. Ideal candidate will be with prior experience in all aspects of outpatient medical office billing and denial management.
Responsibilities
- Manage the entire medical billing cycle, including insurance claims submission, denial management, follow-up and processing of unpaid claims. Run reports and manage ARs, preventing and managing aging ARs. Ensure timely reimbursement. Some payment posting to supplement and tally with auto EHR posting.
- Manage patient insurance information and eligibility verification prior to service delivery to prevent billing errors. Help train other staff members.
- Oversee authorizations necessary to prevent denials and daily correspondence.
- Coordinate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to resolve billing discrepancies or claim denials efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, privacy laws (such as HIPAA), and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience in outpatient medical billing, coding (preferably with certifications like CPC or CPB), and insurance claim processing.
- Understanding of healthcare billing software and electronic health record systems.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Communication skills for interacting with patients, insurance companies, and team members.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations, privacy standards, and billing compliance requirements.
- Positive attitude with a proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Only candidates with prior experience in full Revenue Cycle Management in an outpatient medical office setting are encouraged to apply
Opportunity for quarterly bonuses based on performance. Salary negotiable based on experience and skills. We have three locations - Melbourne, Merritt Island and Palm Bay so potential biller will have the option to work out of any of the offices depending on their preference and commute.
